Product Description
Vitacon V-610 Speedlite Manual Flash
Designed as a compact source of on-camera light, the V-610 Speedlite from Vitacon offers a guide number of 27′ at ISO 100 when set to the 50mm position. The flash can also be set to a normal position with 28mm of coverage on full frame cameras and can tilt upward 90° for bounce capabilities. The unit is a standard manual flash.
The mini V-610 is light weight and runs on just 2 AA batteries with a recycle time of 0.1 to 3.9 secs depending on freshness of batteries. An estimate of 100 to 680 flashes also based on freshness of batteries used. Additionally, it comes with a case.
Bounce flash shooting. By pointing the flash head towards a wall or ceiling, the flash will bounce off the surface before illuminating the subject. This may soften those harsh shadows behind the subject for a more natural looking shot. The head can be tilted by pulling it forward and tilting it upwards to 60°, 75° or 90°.
Auto off power. To save battery power, the power will be switched off automatically after 90 seconds if the unit remains idle. Press the camera’s shutter button to turn on the flash on the V-610 again. You may switch off this function.
AF-Assist Beam. When you press the camera’s shutter button halfway, the flash may fire repeatedly or strobe. This is the AF-Assist function that facilitates auto focus for dark scenes. It’s effective range is approximately 4m/13.1 ft. This function is available when using the V-610 with an EOS digital camera that has an external flash control function. It depends on the camera model and the firmware may need to be updated.
